Press release from the issuing company

Norwalk, Connecticut, USA – Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) today announced the appointment of John Cross as Director of Worldwide Marketing, Film. Cross will be responsible for coordinating KPG’s complete film portfolio, including worldwide core products as well as segment and regional product offerings. In addition, he will direct KPG’s future investments in film. "John has proven himself to be the right person to lead KPG’s commitment to meet the industry’s high demand for investments and improvements in traditional pre-press media," said Jeff Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer. "John’s leadership in bringing the Kodak Premier Recording Film System through research and development to the marketplace was exceptional." In developing Premier, KPG consulted with 130 film-based customers from around the world to find out what product characteristics they wanted in a film. KPG used the resulting data to fine-tune technological improvements aimed at increasing the competitiveness of film-based printers. Premier film launched in the United States and Canada at PRINT 01. "Film remains a central part of the workflow for many printers around the world and it will remain that way for the forseeable future," said Cross. "We are committed to continually improve quality and bring technological innovations to this very important segment of the industry." Cross joined KPG at its inception, and in the past three years has served as Worldwide Product Manager, Film Photochemicals, and Worldwide DryView Product Manager. Before joining KPG, he held a variety of multi-discipline positions within the Eastman Kodak organization. Cross holds a B.Sc (Honors) in Chemistry from the University of Manchester in Manchester, England.
