ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--Oct. 24, 2001--Danka Business Systems PLC today announced a strategic partnership with Staples, Inc., the leading retailer of office supplies, business services and technology. Under a 36-month agreement between the companies, Danka will install and service the newest Canon digital full-color and black-and-white multifunctional printers in 1,100 existing and planned Staples stores nationwide. The company expects to generate sales and service revenues of more than $100 million over the term of the agreement. The Canon equipment will be digitally connected throughout the Staples, U.S. store network, and represents the first step in Staples' offering nationwide digital printing services to all US customers, regardless of their locale.
