OEC Graphics Chooses CreoScitex Packaging Solution

Press release from the issuing company

VANCOUVER, CANADA -- October 23, 2001 -- CreoScitex, a division of Creo Products Inc., announces that OEC Graphics, Inc., a graphic arts industry leader, will partner with CreoScitex for its packaging prepress needs. OEC Graphics of Oshkosh, Wisconsin has purchased two CreoScitex ThermoFlex(tm) 5280 flexographic platesetters. Because OEC Graphics believes in CreoScitex technology, the company has also agreed to beta test the sleeve imaging capability under development by CreoScitex for the ThermoFlex 5280 platesetter. The ThermoFlex platesetter brings the benefits of digital platemaking to flexography, enabling a consistent, controlled, digital manufacturing process and higher quality printing. Known for its ease of use, the ThermoFlex platesetter won the FPPA Technological Innovator of 1999 Award. The ThermoFlex platesetter uses high power multi-beam 830nm thermal laser imaging technology that ensures repeatable, high quality flexo plates. This technology, combined with a digital workflow, allows converters to achieve superior on-press process control. OEC Graphics is a leading prepress supplier that chose the CreoScitex ThermoFlex platesetter based on a thorough understanding of the different technologies that are available today. The critical factors in OEC's decision to partner with CreoScitex were CreoScitex imaging technology, product ease of use, and a vision for the future.
