Press release from the issuing company

Herzliya, Israel, October 6th, 2001 - Scitex Printer’s World (SPW), the consumables business unit of Scitex Vision, a world leader in wide and super-wide digital format printing solutions, has introduced a new media for its digital multi-array systems (the Scitex Pressjet and the Idanit Novo) . The Scitex Vision Yupo maintains all the Yupo characteristics, popular for backlit signs. Now printers can benefit from this coated synthetic paper that offers UV and water resistance, while being fully recyclable for high standard environmental friendliness. When used together with Scitex Vision inks, the Scitex Vision Yupo achieves impeccable image quality with strong, vivid colors. The media is supplied in rolls of 1.60 m (63”) width and is available to customers worldwide, at a an economical price. Netta Kerem, SPW’s Managing Director, emphasizes that “Now Yupo is no longer limited to silk screen or offset printing processes. The Scitex Pressjet is the first high production digital printer in the wide format market to be able to print on Yupo. What’s more, our Scitex Pressjet can print on both sides of the Scitex Vision Yupo!” Mr. Kerem notes that the new media has a huge potential market, and “is a valuable addition to our portfolio. We moved a much-in-demand substrate up to digital printing at a reasonable cost, without forfeiting quality,” he says with satisfaction.
