Wallace: W. E. Andrews Named Sappi International Printer of the Year

LISLE, Ill.--Oct. 5, 2001--Wallace announced its Bedford, MA location, W.E. Andrews, has been named the 2001 Sappi International Printer of the Year and also named Sappi North American Printer of the Year, for printing the New England's Finest 2001 Calendar. W.E. Andrews is one of Wallace's nationwide commercial printing facilities.
An international panel of judges selected the preeminent entry from Gold Award winners previously selected from regional Sappi Printer of the Year competitions worldwide. More than 50 countries, comprising nearly 6,000 entries were entered in this year's competition. Entries were judged on difficulty of printing, technical excellence, quality of finishing and overall appearance.
"It is truly an honor to receive this most prestigious award and the recognition that accompanies it from our peers and clients'', said Steve Andrews, President of W.E. Andrews.
Representing Wallace, Andrews accepted the International Printer of the Year trophy and the solid gold Sappi International Printer of the Year medallion at an awards celebration held in September in Hong Kong.
