Magic DMBF5UV features a coating that permits maximum ink density, creating more vivid color and outstanding image resolution for backlit displays that are required to be equally functional with or without back illumination. When printed with UV pigment inks, 5 mil DMBF5UV is a UV- and water-fast outdoor backlit film well suited for applications such as transit shelters, movie poster displays and taxi signs. Outdoor life expectancy is up to one year when placed behind glass, Lexan(R) or a similar transparent surface, and up to two years indoors. Magic DMBF5UV offers universal printer compatibility in that it performs well on the majority of thermal ink jet pigment and dye ink sets, as well as water-based piezo inks. Faster ink dry-time is another significant advantage of the new backlit film. Even though lamination is not required, it is recommended for applications that may have prolonged exposure to repeated moisture.
