Indigo Omnius Webstream 100 Digital Label Press Premieres at LabelExpo
Press release from the issuing company
Maastricht, The Netherlands – Indigo NV (NASDAQ: INDG) will be exhibiting a range of digital label presses and converting solutions on its stand 5627/28 at Labelexpo Europe.
Visitors to the stand will be able to view in action the new high speed Omnius WebStream 100 digital press, being demonstrated for the first time. Also on exhibit will be the Omnius WebStream 50 short run digital label press, and the sheet-fed Omnius MultiStream digital press for specialty printing.
"Indigo will now offer a complete range of high performance digital presses for mainstream label printing, catering to everything from short to medium runs up to the highest volume label requirements," Jens Henrik Osmundsen, General Manager, Indigo Europe, stated. "The ability to integrate various turnkey converting systems from different vendors also enables users to deliver a wide range of products and solutions utilizing the power and flexibility of digital printing."
Omnius WebStream 100
Combining One-Shot Color technology with the Series 2 printing process, the Omnius WebStream 100 rivals the speed and quality of conventional label printing.
Series 2 is a modular concept of printing "engines" that can be configured in single, twin, and four-engine designs for web models. Unlike conventional presses in which each "engine" prints a separate color, each Indigo engine prints all colors, ensuring virtually perfect registration - while multiple engines simply multiply productivity.
Designed for label printing at medium volumes, the Omnius WebStream 100 prints up to 16 meters per minute on four colors. The twin engine Omnius WebStream 200, printing up to 32 meters per minute in four colors, is the perfect solution for label printing at medium to high volumes. Combining four engines, the Omnius WebStream 400 is the fastest digital offset press for labels. It prints up to 64 meters per minute in four colors, meeting even the highest volume production label requirements.
Every press in the Omnius WebStream 100/200/400 range delivers high quality, liquid ink Digital Offset Color results on a wide variety of label substrates. All systems are compatible with finishing processes and devices used for label converting. Each of these presses uses a highly reliable and innovative web handling system for easy job-switching.
Omnius WebStream 100 is available with Indigo’s powerful, value-enhancing options including up to seven-color-printing, IndiChrome OnPress and OffPress special color solutions and Yours Truly personalization, enabling label barcodes and numbering.
Omnius WebStream 100 systems are fully upgradable to Omnius WebStream 200 systems. Both Omnius WebStream 100 and 200 systems are fully upgradable to Omnius WebStream 400 systems.
Omnius WebStream 50
The Omnius WebStream 50 responds to the market requirement for a high quality, short run digital label press. Extremely versatile, it prints up to six colors across a wide portfolio of substrates and offers full color variable data from label to label. The press also provides a perfect solution for market testing and proofing of different label and packaging products.
