EFI will demonstrate the new Fiery Z5(TM) and Fiery Z18(TM) high-performance color servers and a powerful, advanced new software package featuring specialized tools for graphic arts professionals. The new Fiery product line, demonstrated in booth no. 1205, emphasizes EFI's theme to deliver the "Power to Perform'' on the most demanding color print jobs. EFI's new Fiery Z5 and Fiery Z18 servers will provide speed, precision, and advanced workflow controls to maximize both print quality and productivity. Each platform features dramatic improvements in printing speed, greater color management control, enhanced workflow and more flexible, expanded variable data support. The Fiery Z18 is built for intensive production environments, from design firms and CRDs to commercial printers. It has the power to drive production engines at full-speed for maximum throughput, and features enhanced workflow and management tools, such as Fiery DocBuilder(TM) Pro(TM) for document editing and assembly, and enhanced variable data printing capabilities. The new Fiery platforms are optimized for EFI's upcoming advanced software, including the new Fiery Graphic Arts Package, which offers graphic arts professionals greater flexibility, predictability, and repeatability. The suite features specialized tools to achieve consistently accurate color and print quality for more precise proofs and simulations in varied document formats. The EFI Color Profiler(TM) is also a new option for the Z5 and Z18. It includes profile creation software and an EFI Spectrometer(TM), making it the only integrated solution available from a single vendor. Additionally, EFI will be demonstrating its new variable data printing (VDP) solutions. Special Fiery versions of VDP applications Pageflex Persona and Atlas PrintShop Mail have been optimized for the Z5 and Z18 platforms. In addition, the platforms support the emerging industry standard PPML language, as well as proprietary legacy languages.
