Monaco Systems and Bestcolor USA Offer ICC Profiling and RIP Bundle
Press release from the issuing company
ANDOVER, Mass.-Sept. 18, 2001--Monaco Systems, Inc., a leader in the field of color management, today announced that Bestcolor USA Inc will offer its MonacoPROOF Mac ICC profiling software with the Best Colorproof(TM) RIP bundles. Bestcolor USA Inc. is a leading provider of printing and pre-press solutions. This bundle optimizes the accuracy of digital proofs for inkjet printers and enables the acceptance of these proofs for color-critical client approval. Incorporating digital proofing into the workflow saves time, resources, and money.
Custom ICC profiles are the key to successfully using inkjet printers for prepress proofing. Further, the combination of a custom printer profile used within a high quality, ICC profile-compatible RIP makes for an extremely color-accurate proofing system. The combined technologies of the two companies offer the most advanced, cost-effective inkjet proofing solution available to the print industry. This bundle agreement will be available through Best's certified dealer network.
"MonacoPROOF and Best Colorproof(TM) RIP software combine to make an accurate proofing system that saves professional printers the frustration and cost of producing multiple proofs," says George Adam, CEO of Monaco Systems. "The RIP solutions are becoming the professional's choice for the commercial and publishing markets. We are pleased that they have selected MonacoPROOF for their printer profile bundles."
"It's a proven fact that ICC profiles are essential to a color-accurate inkjet proofing system. Prior to this bundle agreement, customers who wanted to make custom profiles had to purchase special software and hardware, separate from the RIP. We've combined Monaco's MonacoPROOF printer profiling software with our Best Colorproof(TM) RIP software and an X-Rite DTP41UV to offer a complete proofing solution to our customers," says Mark Geeves, president of Bestcolor USA Inc. "We are partnering with Monaco because they are a recognized leader of profiling tools for the printing and publishing market and their software will add tremendous value to our Printer Profile Bundles."
