XAAR Appoints Ian Macgregor to Director of Marketing

Cambridge, England; September 17, 2001 - Xaar plc, a world leader in ink jet printing technology, has announced the appointment of Ian Macgregor as Director of Marketing. Macgregor brings to Xaar 13 years of experience spanning a variety of marketing communications and strategic roles. Macgregor most recently worked as head of marketing with Motorola's world-wide GSM systems division, where he was responsible for marketing GSM cellular infrastructure, General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) and UMTS (3rd generation mobile telephony). Prior to the position at Motorola, Macgregor was UK Marketing Director with Deutsche Telekom for six years, where he was responsible for sales and marketing of private network solutions, UK strategy and mergers and acquisitions for the company's first commercial operations outside Germany. Macgregor graduated in Languages and Politics, with a Masters degree in Business from Cranfield School of Management, UK. Macgregor's appointment signifies Xaar's on-going commitment to customer relationship development, business focus and expansion.
