Corbis Appoints New Leaders in Business Group

SEATTLE (September 10, 2001) – Corbis (www.corbis.com), the world's leading provider of photography and fine art under a single brand and via a single technology platform, today announced the promotion of two top executives within its Creative Professional Group (CPG). Bruce Chesebrough, head of CPG worldwide, has been named senior vice president, CPG. Former Corbis Stock Market (CSM) COO Andrei Lloyd has been named vice president, worldwide sales and market strategy, CPG. Corbis' CPG is the company's largest division, offering the creative professional in both editorial and commercial markets the world's richest collection of photography including news, celebrity, contemporary lifestyle, business, sports, historical and fine art. In addition, CPG offers motion footage through its partnership with Sekani. As senior vice president, CPG, Chesebrough will re-locate from New York to Seattle, where he can better represent the needs of the worldwide market from Corbis' corporate headquarters. Chesebrough joined Corbis three years ago as vice president, sales. Previously, he was director of consulting services at Don Aux Associates following the purchase of his own consulting firm, Small Business Associates, Inc. by Don Aux. Chesebrough also worked with American Management Services, Inc. as vice president of sales and marketing and Young and Rubicam. He has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in economics from Amherst College. "Bruce has done a tremendous job building our top notch and professional global sales organization while expanding the creative professional business," said Leslie Hughes, President of Corbis' Markets and Products Group. "In his new position, Bruce will be responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of Corbis' worldwide professional licensing group, bringing together sales, service, market and product development across all acquired collections and across all creative professional groups." In his new position as vice president, worldwide sales and market strategy, CPG, Lloyd will report to Chesebrough and take on the responsibility for leading Corbis' effort to further expand its worldwide creative professional business while also ensuring Corbis maintains its industry leading sales and service focus through the integration of CSM, Corbis Saba, and Corbis Sygma. Lloyd will continue in his current role as COO of CSM through the full integration of CSM in early 2002. "During his tenure with Corbis as COO of Corbis Stock Market, Andrei was instrumental in developing a successful strategic approach and growing the company to exceed profitability goals," said Hughes. "Now, he will play a key role in shaping Corbis' business strategy for the future - ensuring that Corbis continues to excel in sales and service." Previously, Lloyd, as executive vice president of The Stock Market since 1991, played a crucial role in driving the success and growth of The Stock Market into one of the world's leading commercial stock agencies before its acquisition by Corbis.
