Xerox Introduces Digitally Optimized Papers, Business Reply Envelope

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO--Sept. 7, 2001--Xerox Corporation has introduced two new coated papers, Xerox Digital Color Gloss and Xerox Digital Color Silk, and a Xerox-Avery co-branded Business Reply Envelope. Xerox Digital Color Gloss and Xerox Digital Color Silk Papers are designed for use in Xerox DocuColor machines. The papers, which are coated on both sides of the sheet, will help graphic designers and printers maximize the capabilities of full-color digital printing. Xerox Digital Color Gloss and Xerox Digital Color Silk Papers feature a bright, blue-white shade that delivers crisp image resolution and precise color rendition in both large blocks of color and in fine, subtle details. Available in three sizes, the papers can be used for a wide variety of creative applications, including annual reports, sales and marketing brochures, signature booklets, posters and fliers. These new digital gloss and silk papers are also available in Europe under the Xerox brand name "Colotech''. In addition, Xerox teamed up with Avery Dennison to create a new Business Reply Envelope that will benefit customers in the direct marketing, insurance, banking, health care and pharmaceutical industries. The 8 1/2" x 11'' sheet-design reply envelope can feed through high-speed laser printers, enabling companies to custom print their own reply envelopes as needed instead of wasting space and money storing boxes of preprinted envelopes. The single sheet form envelope can be printed individually and then bound directly into any type of booklet, brochure or manual. The sheet-design envelope gives the entire document a more professional look and guards against the loss of the reply envelope.
