ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Illinois—SCREEN Americas announces it has received two prestigious EDP awards—one for the Truepress JET 560HDX and one for the Truepress PAC 830F. The awards were accepted by Business Development Director Juan Cano of SCREEN Europe and Executive Officer Yoshinari Otani of SCREEN Graphic Solutions. The reception took place in Barcelona, Spain, May 20, 2026.
The EDP Awards are organized annually by the European Digital Press Association where independent experts from 20 leading European trade publications judge printing equipment and technology. Entries are evaluated on several criteria including innovation, usability, productivity, quality, durability, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), sustainability, environmental impact, and cost as it pertains to overall value.
The Truepress JET 560HDX is the company’s flagship high-speed digital inkjet press that combines high-definition image quality and continuous roll-fed ability with ease of operation. The press uses Truepress Ink SC2, a recently developed high-density water-based ink that enables the press to print effectively on a wide variety of offset coated, inkjet-coated, and uncoated substrates.
In addition to delivering a level of color quality and consistency comparable to conventional offset commercial printing, the Truepress JET 560HDX can handle substrates up to 560 mm wide at a speed of 150 meters per minute. With the technology’s newly developed drying and transport mechanisms, the press has earned the reputation as being one of the greatest alternatives to offset printing.
The Truepress PAC 830F represents SCREEN’s most significant advancement in bringing inkjet printing agility to the industrial level for flexible packaging. Operating at a speed up to 75 meters per minute using food-compliant aqueous inks, the press produces color fidelity and print consistency that meets the high demands of retail packaging. The press reframes the case for digital production in the flexible packaging sector by offering flexibility, quick speed during changeovers, and a reduction in makeready waste.
The Truepress PAC 830F has the capability to print on a wide range of plastic film substrates including PET, BOPP, and MDO-PE. With SCREEN’s advanced EQUIOS workflow software driving automation to improve efficiency, new doors are opened for printers to easily tackle short-run personalized packaging campaigns.
“Receiving two EDP awards reflects the result of extensive development work by the entire SCREEN engineering team,” said Cano. For that work to be independently assessed and recognized by Europe’s leading print industry experts is something we are extremely proud of. It is a strong signal for inkjet’s role in both commercial print and flexible packaging.”
Findings from the EDP judging process are published in the EDP Awards Technical Report and distributed across the association’s 20 member publications that reach over half a million readers across Europe. For businesses evaluating capital investment in new press technology, the awards offer the necessary independent technical assessment that is valued by board members and executives.
