SHELTON, Conn.- Sept. 28, 2001--Baldwin Technology Company, Inc. (ASE:BLD) announced today that it has completed the previously-announced sale of it's Roll Handling Business to MEGTEC Systems, Inc. and its parent, Sequa Corporation.
The Roll Handling Business of Baldwin primarily manufactures splicers for newspaper and commercial web printing and includes wholly-owned subsidiaries in Rockford, Illinois, Amal, Sweden and Shanghai, China. MEGTEC Systems, Inc. manufactures splicers and dryers for newspaper and commercial web printing as well as pollution control products and industrial drying systems.
