A successful Peterborough-based signage firm has begun its next chapter after welcoming new ownership.

The FASTSIGNS Peterborough centre has been acquired by a consortium of franchise industry specialists, led by Paul Watson and print industry veteran, Bill Goss; an investment which is focused on supporting the centre’s continued growth and long-term development.

Part of FASTSIGNS UK’s growing franchise network, now spanning 23 locations across the country, the Peterborough centre has delivered bespoke signage and visual communications solutions to local and national businesses of all sizes, since opening in 2005.

The centre delivers bespoke signage for local government, construction sites and large retailers, alongside brand rollouts for major warehousing and stately homes. They specialise in elevating commercial buildings, with LED-illuminated exteriors and precision-installed interior graphics.

Heading up the centre is industry heavyweight and now general manager, Bill Goss, who brings with him over 25 years’ experience in the print industry, providing strong operational leadership and vast sector knowledge.

Goss’ background spans traditional print, small-format and publication printing, as well as large-format graphics for events and commercial environments. Prior to FASTSIGNS, he ran his own print business for 14 years, giving him hands-on experience of both the operational and commercial sides of the industry.

Joining the FASTSIGNS team as part of its updated ownership structure, he is responsible for overseeing the centre’s day-to-day operations, customer relationships and the ongoing training and development of the five-strong team, where they share a combined 35 years’ experience across production and sales.

Commenting on his appointment, Goss said:

“Print has been my career for more than 25 years and that experience tells me that the signage, graphics and visual communications sector is an exciting and evolving industry. More so than ever, though, there’s real change afoot. The biggest development, undoubtedly, is the role of AI and its impact on creative industries like ours. Unlike ever before, a deep understanding of our craft is paramount, as are fundamentals like quality, reliability and collaboration—principles that the talented team here in Peterborough already have.

“It’s an exciting juncture to be joining the FASTSIGNS team, supported by not only the experienced consortium and an established team of production and design experts, but also the established presence of the brand. I’m looking forward to what’s around the corner.”

John Davies, managing director of FASTSIGNS UK, added:

“We’re thrilled to welcome the team to the FASTSIGNS brand and to see how the new ownership and Bill’s leadership will strengthen the centre and support local businesses across the region.

“I’m confident the centre is well positioned to expand its services, embrace new technologies, deliver creative and sustainable signage solutions and continue building strong relationships with clients old and new.”
