TOKYO, Japan - Seiko Epson Corporation ("Epson") today announced that it has been honored with the Scanner Line of the Year 2026 award from Keypoint Intelligence, the leading market research firm and independent evaluator of print and smart workplace technologies and services.
The award recognizes the most outstanding scanner product line offered by a manufacturer, based on a comprehensive assessment of performance, quality, value, and overall capabilities.
Evaluated Product Lineup
For this year's award, Keypoint Intelligence conducted a broad evaluation of Epson's scanner portfolio, including the following series:
*DS-800WN, ES-C220, ES-C320W, ES-C380W, ES-400 ?, ES-580W, DS-32000, DS-1760WN, DS-900WN, RR-400W, DS-C480W, DS-C490, DS-770 ?
These models represent Epson's diverse scanner lineup, ranging from compact models for home offices and small businesses to high?end workgroup scanners designed for high?volume environments.
* The models available for sale differ depending on the country or region. In addition, even the same model may be sold under different product names depending on the country or region.
Reasons for the Award
The evaluation highlighted the consistent results delivered across the entire line and the breadth of the lineup, which addresses a wide range of workplace requirements. The scanners were also recognized for their ease of use, reliable image quality, and software that complements the hardware, including Epson Open Platform and Arm compatibility.1

40 years of Epson scanner development
2026 marks the 40th anniversary of Epson's scanner business. Epson introduced its first image scanner, the GT 3000, in 1986. Receiving this recognition in the anniversary year reflects four decades of ongoing development in scanning technologies and solutions.
