ENCAD Announces New Matte Canvas Media; 100% Cotton Product

Press release from the issuing company

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 29 - ENCAD a leader in digital image printing technology, today announces its new Matte Artists' Canvas Media, a 17 mil matte canvas that creates stunning photographic, digital fine-art, and original fine-art reproductions. This dynamically engineered media solution contains a special coating that resists cracking and peeling when users stretch images for finishing and framing to create the look and feel of original artworks. When used with ENCAD's GX(TM) (Graphic Extend(TM)) lightfast ink, Artists' Canvas Media produces brilliant color images that enjoy the industry's leading certification for indoor lightfast archival durability and fade resistance. Prints hung indoors last up to 15 years in fluorescent light and up to 6 years with indirect sunlight. Prints in direct sunlight benefit from a lightfastness of up to 7 months. "Matte Artists' Canvas is the perfect addition to our broad line of over 15 media products,'' stated Gerry Forman, Vice President of Supplies. "With this new product, our customers are now able to produce archival fine art that shows beautifully and maintains its brilliance for years to come.'' Each substrate provides superior image quality and a more predictable, repeatable image reproduction."
