SOLON, OH — Graphco, North America’s leading provider of offset, print finishing, and dimensional signage solutions, proudly hosted its first AICC Educational Event on November 5–6, a dynamic two-day seminar built around the theme Innovate, Design, Deliver – From Concept to Commerce.

Held at Graphco headquarters, the program welcomed both new and seasoned packaging professionals eager to expand their expertise, explore emerging trends, and gain practical, hands-on experience. Presented in partnership with AICC, The Independent Packaging Association, the event delivered actionable education and clear strategies for developing packaging solutions that advance innovation, efficiency, and business performance.

“Hosting this event was an exciting opportunity to bring the packaging community together and share actionable knowledge,” said Chris Manley, President of Graphco. “Our goal was to give attendees tools they can put to work immediately to tackle real challenges and deliver measurable results for their companies.”

“AICC education is built to support every stage of professional growth in our industry,” states Rebecca Rendon, Sr. Manager of Education. “The Concept to Commerce Packaging Seminar is a perfect example of that, bringing together design, production, sales, and strategy to show how packaging is produced and delivered. It gives attendees the perspective and tools they need to contribute more effectively to their teams and their companies.”

Founded in 1974, AICC represents independent packaging companies through advocacy, networking, and a strong commitment to professional development. Events like this help equip boxmakers and packagers with the education needed to thrive in a continually evolving marketplace.

Throughout the seminar, attendees explored every step of the packaging journey—from design strategy and material selection to sustainability, production techniques, and go-to-market execution. Hands-on sessions allowed participants to engage directly with industry practices, comparing containerboard options, examining manufacturing effects, testing corrugated products, and experimenting with die cutting, scoring, and printing processes.

Attendees praised the event for its practical value and interactive approach. Mike Alvarez, Plant Manager at Royal Containers, noted, “People in our industry are struggling to find needles in haystacks. I'm glad AICC helped by getting all the hay out of the way. It reminded me to keep sharing knowledge; helping others is the greatest reward.”

Graphco looks forward to building on its partnership with AICC to provide future educational experiences that spark innovation, strengthen industry expertise, and support the continued growth of packaging professionals nationwide.
