The AATCC Foundation awarded 28 scholarships and fellowships to students studying at 10 colleges and universities across the United States for the 2025-2026 academic year. In addition to direct funding for tuition, Foundation scholars received free registration for the Fabricating the Future Conference and one year of complimentary AATCC membership to help them connect with industry professionals and launch a career in textiles.
Charles H. Stone Scholarship
The AATCC Foundation Charles H. Stone Scholarship provides scholarships to junior and seniors majoring in polymer or textile chemistry fields at North Carolina State University Wilson College of Textiles or Clemson University College of Engineering and Science. Five $10,000 Charles H. Stone-Piedmont Scholarships are awarded each year.

2026-2027 AATCC Foundation Scholarships and Fellowships Application
The AATCC Foundation scholarship and fellowship application is now open for the 2026-2027 academic year. Undergraduate and graduate students studying at a college or university in the US in any textile-related discipline may apply for more than a dozen separate scholarships and US$100,000 total funding with one simple online form. Students enter their school, education level, major, and other criteria once. The system automatically lists matching scholarships and asks for any required personal statements. There’s something for everyone—from an Indian citizen studying fashion design in Rhode Island to a US citizen pursuing a materials science PhD in Texas.
All scholarship applications are due February 28, 2026. Recipients will be notified over the summer. In addition to the tuition funding, all Foundation Scholars receive free registration for the 2026 AATCC Annual Conference (www.aatcc.org/events) and up to a US$500 travel reimbursement.
