Milan – GPA, part of the Fedrigoni Group and the leading North American distributor of premium substrates for digital technologies, has signed a licensing agreement with HP for the sole distribution of the new generation of HP ColorPRO paper.  Developed by HP and backed by years of innovation and patented technology, the new HP ColorPRO papers are engineered specifically for HP PageWide Web Presses, unlocking maximum productivity, offset-like quality, and streamlined supply chain efficiency for high-volume inkjet printing. 

Under the agreement, GPA will serve as the sole brand and technology licensee of HP ColorPRO technology in the U.S. and Canada. This license grants GPA rights to develop, commercialize, and distribute HP ColorPRO papers, positioning the company as the licensed provider of the papers capable of delivering maximum throughput on HP PageWide presses.

With the production inkjet market growing double digits the partnership positions HP and GPA at the forefront of one of the fastest-growing segments in commercial print.  Initially covering the United States and Canada, the collaboration is set to expand globally in the near future.

Production will be supported by a network of trusted manufacturing partners, including mills within the Fedrigoni Group as well as select partners committed to the same high standards of quality and consistency. This multi-mill approach provides scalability, redundancy, and security of supply—ensuring printers can count on reliable availability.  GPA will manage all logistics through a direct mill-to-printer program, streamlining access for commercial printers, book manufacturers, and direct mail providers.

The HP ColorPRO portfolio will include both coated and uncoated options:
- Aurora Gloss (80# Text, 100# Cover)
- Mojave Matte (45#, 50#, 60# Text)
- Prairie Production, Alpine Opaque, and Canyon Silk uncoated grades (launching in 2026)
