Office Imaging Industry Chooses Toshiba For Top Quality Achievement Award

Press release from the issuing company

Las Vegas, NV (August 8, 2001) – Before an audience of office equipment dealers representing major manufacturers in the office technology industry, Toshiba America Business Solutions, Electronic Imaging Division (TABS EID) received the top award today from the Business Technology Association (BTA) during its annual Conference and Exposition held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Maintaining its title as the most favored manufacturer serving the BTA channel, this is the sixth time Toshiba has won the Channel Choice Award for Overall Performance. Toshiba was presented with four awards during the Opening Session of the 76th annual BTA show. For the first time in the history of the Channel's Choice Awards, all independent dealers in the office imaging industry, not just BTA members, were invited to participate in the annual survey used to determine the winners. Manufacturers were evaluated based on product line, distribution policies, sales and marketing programs and overall quality. Toshiba received Channel's Choice awards for 1) Overall Performance, 2) Digital Connected Products, 3) Product Line and 4) Corporate Support. "To be recognized by the office products industry in this fashion is indeed a great honor," said Rick Taylor, Senior Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Business Operations, TABS. "Over the past year, Toshiba has made astonishing progress, launching its newest line of multifunction office equipment, unveiling sophisticated new document management software solutions and enhancing dealer training through the latest e-learning initiatives. These awards reinforce our commitment to maintaining Toshiba's reputation as a premier office equipment manufacturer." "To receive the Channel Choice Award for Digital Connected Products is especially important to us," said Taylor. "With the launch of our new e-STUDIO line of multifunctional, digital copier products, Toshiba has maintained its commitment to providing technologically advanced products. Offering superior image quality with network printing capabilities, there are a total of eight different e-STUDIO models, ranging from 16 pages per minute to 80 pages per minute. Fax capabilities, overall image quality and innovative optional features like scan to e-mail are some of the line's strongest qualities. In addition to the BTA Awards, Toshiba has received industry honors this year from Buyers Laboratory, Better Buys for Business, Marketing Research Consultants and was named to Information Week's Innovation100 List for building successful customer relationships using web technology.
