HD Apeiron/42 installed – Anil Gudekar (Technical Support Engineer, Rookie Ninja), Javad Mohammed (Product Manager, Rookie Ninja) & Garros Rolland (Sales Manager, Rookie Ninja)
A bold new chapter begins for the HD Apeiron/42. With this installation in the Middle East, the contact-free large format scanner is entering a region rich in cultural heritage and creative industries - proving its worth in one of the most demanding digitization applications: Fine art.
Copenhagen, Denmark – Contex’ distributor in the Middle East, Rookie Ninja, has successfully completed the installation of the HD Apeiron/42 - and the story of how it got there is as remarkable as the results it’s ready to deliver.
A unique installation for a unique scanner
The customer, a major player in the fine art digitization industry, had such high confidence in the HD Apeiron/42 that they went to extraordinary lengths to bring it in - quite literally.
The HD Apeiron/42 can get through a standard door before unpacked, but some intricate staircases doesn’t leave enough space. So, with no standard access route available, the customer temporarily had a window removed on the first floor of the building and lifted the HD Apeiron/42 into place using a forklift.
“This was a bold move by the customer - but it just shows how much they wanted the HD Apeiron/42,” says Garros Rolland, Sales Manager Rookie Ninja and continues: “They already had worked with a similar scanner, but it simply wasn’t delivering the level of detail and image quality they needed. This upgrade was all about getting results.”
Once on site, installation and setup went smoothly. The scanner was quickly configured and is now ready to deliver exceptional results on high-value, delicate artworks.
The most demanding customers?
This marks an exciting step forward for HD Apeiron/42 - not only geographically into the Middle East, but also deeper into the world of fine art digitization. In this segment, quality and care are non-negotiable, and the contact-free design of the HD Apeiron/42 is proving to be a game-changer.
“This is a fantastic opportunity - not just for us as a brand and for our distributor, but for the fine art digitization community,” says Jacob Bendix, Global CCO at Contex. “We’re seeing strong demand for more precise, contact-free scanning solutions, and this installation is a great example of where the market is heading.”
Contex is seeing growing momentum in this market, as more reprographics professionals discover how the scanner dramatically reduces setup time and post editing needs, while preserving anything from framed art to fragile originals and delivering remarkable results for some of the demanding customers within art.
