Moore Names Gordon Grote President Response Marketing Services

TORONTO and STAMFORD, Conn.--July 3, 2001--Robert G. Burton, President and Chief Executive Officer of Moore Corporation Limited announced today the appointment of Gordon Grote as President of the corporation's Response Marketing Services (RMS), a division of Moore's Integrated Business Solutions Group (IBSG). Mr. Grote will report directly to Mr. Burton.
In regard to this appointment, Mr. Burton stated:
"As the President of RMS, I am counting on Gordon to enhance the on-going development of our response marketing services while continuing to define our business plan to become our clients' one-stop shopping resource. There are countless opportunities for Moore with Gordon leading our direct mail business. Gordon has an awareness and perception of his clients' respective markets that comes from first-hand knowledge of the direct mail business.''
Mr. Grote stated: "I have been with Moore for several years and have been proud to be a part of its growth and successes. But, I feel especially privileged to have the opportunity to work closely with Mr. Burton and his team and to expand our successful response marketing platform. The Integrated Business Solutions Group has tremendous cross-selling capabilities. Mark Peterson, Moore's President of Business Communications Services, and I will work together to fully to realize optimum potential.''
Mr. Grote brings more than 20 years of experience with Moore and the industry to his new role. Just prior to assuming this new role as President, he was Vice President and General Manager for IBSG's response marketing services. He has held various positions within Moore throughout his career, from General Manager - Business Equipment and Service when he joined the company to Vice President - GM Specialized Industries for our document solutions segment. Mr. Grote has also worked for World Color Press and DCI Marketing. He is a member of Direct Marketing Association and was the past Chairman of the International Business Forms Institute's government affairs committee. He received a bachelor's degree in Marketing from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois.
