Markzware Launches FlightCheck Classic V4.0 for the Macintosh

Press release from the issuing company

SANTA ANA, California June 28, 2001 -- Today Markzware has announced the release of FlightCheck CLASSIC v4.0 for the Macintosh. FlightCheck, which set the standard in the publishing industry for preflighting, ignites with robust features offering added support for Microsoft Word files and greater depth and flexibility in the Ground Control settings. New Features Include: * An industry first: preflight support for Microsoft Word. It will handle versions 4, 5, 6, 8 (Office 2000) and 9 (Office 2001), for both Mac and PC files * There are 70 new "views" on the Views Palette which are essentially the same as the Ground Controls for colors, fonts and images. This allows you to get a specific list of just TIFF images, or TrueType fonts and so forth, letting you zero in on the exact data you care about. You can also select from these 70 views when printing a report, thus you can get a listing of just the TIFF images, etc. * Four (4) new Ground Controls for detecting the presence of application generated clipping paths, ICC Profile usage, Postscript Color Space Management and Ink Density (highest pixel value in rasterized TIFF or EPS images) * A "Next Problem" button has been added to the Problems Layout so that you can locate the next occurrence of any problems based on the currently selected criteria, skipping pages that do not have any related problems. For example: to find the next page using an RGB image you would select the "Images" check box, then click the "Next" button. Pricing: FlightCheck CLASSIC v4.0 is available on Mac PPC/68K and is $399 MSRP. The upgrade to FlightCheck CLASSIC v4.0 from any former version is $99. Customers may qualify for a free upgrade if their purchase of FlightCheck was made on or after April 1, 2001 by registering their current product and providing proof of purchase.
