Richmond, VA - Zeller+Gmelin North America, manufacturer and innovator of printing inks, coatings and adhesives, is proud to announce the expansion of their North American sales and service teams. Zeller+Gmelin has appointed Tim Tynan as Flexo National Accounts Sales Manager, and Jimmy Rider as Flexo Technical Service Manager, as well as, celebrates Erik Jacob’s one year anniversary as Narrow Web Portfolio Manager.
Erik Jacob brings an extensive sales and operations background in the print and packaging markets to Zeller+Gmelin. With over 30 years operating in packaging, working for both printers and suppliers, Jacob has a wealth of industry, application, and ink knowledge for his narrow web portfolio customers. Jacob's expertise spans a wide range of areas, including flexo and many other narrow web print technologies, prepress, anilox, on-press troubleshooting, process development, product development, and color consistency. His versatility is further demonstrated by his certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), which adds another dimension to his skill set. “I am passionate about helping people become not more efficient but more effective printers.” States Jacob.
Tim Tynan joins Zeller+Gmelin as the Flexo National Accounts Sales Manager, serving printers in North America. Tynan comes from an ink management company, with almost two decades of sales and management experience. With over 8 years’ in the flexo industry, Tynan’s passion is to “promote the creativity of press operators to produce magic on press”. In his new role, Tynan is responsible for the growth, service, and support of Zeller+Gmelin’s national flexo accounts in the US and Canada. In his free time, the former college golfer loves to watch football and volleyball with his family and play “old man” softball with his friends.
As the new Flexo Technical Service Manager for North America, Jimmy Rider is responsible for sales support, press trials, transitions and troubleshooting for Z+G flexo ink solutions in the US and Canada. With a bachelor’s degree in business management, Rider has held numerous roles during his 30+ years in the ink industry: from manufacturing to customer support, branch manager to technical service. Rider enjoys a challenge and is often found press side, assisting printers in finding solutions and inspiring innovation.
