One of the North East’s fastest growing printers has decided to put its faith in Marabu products by making a major switch of inks on its solvent and UV digital printers.

Print North East who are based in Byker, Newcastle, operate the latest in digital, large format and litho printing machinery to produce top quality print at highly competitive prices.

Traditionally trading as a B2 Litho printer, the company diversified into wide format in 2016 with a Mimaki JV33, later a JV150-160 and then a few years after invested in the Mimaki flatbed UV.

Their printing presses can produce the smallest quantity business cards to the largest volume door-to-door mailers to run in their millions. Print North East’s sign department can produce anything from vinyl stickers, posters and banners to foamed or Di-bond sign panels.

Large format is currently the fastest growing area of the business.

Commenting on the switch to Marabu ink, Steve Gilbert of North East Print said: “The change over from OEM inks to Marabu was completely seamless on both the Solvent and UV machines and we are totally confident that Marabu will help us deliver exceptional quality in a highly cost-effective manner.”

Print North East are using Ultra Jet DLE-JX for their Mimaki JFX200-2513EX an alternative to Mimaki LUS120 inks. They’re also using Mara Jet DI-FMS (GBL-free) for their Mimaki CJV150 – an alternative to Mimaki SS21 inks.

Print North East’s Marabu inks are being supplied by the distributor for the area, First Fix Plastics Ltd.
