Press release from the issuing company
For everyone in the packaging and printing industry, this year is all about drupa 2024. It’s been eight years since the last show, and we can’t wait to meet and reconnect with all our partners and customers and share EngView’s greatest innovations and cutting-edge technology solutions for packaging and POP/POS display design and production.
We are excited to share with you what we have been working on so passionately for the last few months and will show at drupa next week:
Art3D - New Solution for Easier Graphic Design of Boxes
EngView Art3D is a product developed to help graphic designers create artwork for packaging more easily. Integrated with Adobe Illustrator, Art3D gives designers the capability to turn any vector drawing into a three-dimensional structure. This tool is perfect for freelance designers having no experience with CAD software. It helps them create a 3D model from ready dielines downloaded from the internet or provided by the end-customers. Art3D works with any vector format regardless of the software that was used to create it. Of course, the option to use the EngView library of thousands of ready-to-use parametric templates is always available.
EngView Package & Display Designer 2024 - Online, Augmented, Intelligent
With the continuous release policy we adopted last year, we release new versions every couple of months or even sooner. We build and we share with our customers. There is no delay. Every new feature, usability and performance optimization or a bug fix is released as soon as we develop and test it. New technologies are constantly evolving, Generative AI is here, and we work tirelessly to be on the cutting edge of technology and offer a competitive advantage to our customers.
Here are the latest improvements in the EngView packaging software that we will demonstrate at drupa:
Library search by application
You can now find all templates, both packaging and display, in a single online space. We redesigned the library for a better user experience when browsing the templates. The newest feature is that users can now search the library index not only by code and template name but also by type of application, like chocolate, pizza, or toothpaste box.
Nesting and Layout optimizations
When creating layouts, you can nest on a new material type - rolled material. You can also keep track of the leftover material, which you can use in subsequent jobs. The sheet size is now directly visible on the screen. You can see the size of a sheet directly in the one-up or layout drawing, appearing at the sheet's border.
Drafting
Designers can make a copy of the 2D drawing, along with the 3D visualization and the folding sequence. This new option saves designers time in creating the 3D model, folding animation, and viewpoints (camera spots) from scratch.
Video export of the 3D animation
You can now export any 3D model animation from the EngView Packaging Suite as a .mp4 file and experience the folding sequence in a video. You can upload the video to your website or use it on social media. We also support video export options for mobile devices.
EngView Shared Space - Augmented reality feature
We implemented an amazing new feature in our Shared Space. Besides sharing the 3D design with customers for approval and comments through your browser, you can now see the mock-up in the real environment you are in. Using the camera on your mobile phone or tablet, you can see the live 3D placed in the room you are in. This augmented reality feature helps customers place the 3D model of a display or a box in the actual store.
Palletization (beta version)
Last but not least, we have created our own palletization module. Like everything else we do, it is simple and easy to work with. It is still a beta version, but you will have a chance to experience it at drupa.
Join us at Hall 7A, Stand C12, to explore these exciting developments. Schedule an appointment by contacting [email protected] to ensure personalized demonstrations and discussions. We look forward to seeing you at drupa!
