New and improved Gruv™ 7 air-egress media delivers quality, efficiency and more

STOW, Ohio – Mactac® has reinvented its Gruv™ 7 high-performance graphic print media to offer customers two high-quality solutions for many graphic applications. 

Now featuring a high-quality cast film, the new Gruv 7 (GV729) is highly durable, easy to apply, available in permanent and removable adhesive options, and ideal for a wide variety of graphic applications, including windows, walls, floors, signage, and vehicles.

“The improved Gruv 7 offers exceptional performance for vehicle graphics and indoor and outdoor advertising and signage applications for a great price,” says Nate Goodman, Product Manager, Mactac Graphics & Signage Solutions. “Using Gruv 7 products for many applications eliminates the need to have other material on hand, simplifying inventory management. The permanent and removable adhesives allow for both long-term and short-term graphics to have a premium, consistent look and feel for a multitude of applications.” 

Made in North America at the state-of-the-art Mactac Spartanburg facility in South Carolina, the new Gruv 7 is a conformable, high-quality 2-mil white gloss cast PVC film with a cost-effective price point.

The film is designed for solvent, latex, and UV wide-format printing and features an optimized face to ensure consistent image quality across every application. It is coated on one side with either a permanent (GV729P) or removable (GV729R) opaque, acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive and supplied with a 90# polycoated air-egress release liner. GV729R can be removed and repositioned during application.

The products are intended for medium to long-term applications with outdoor durability of up to seven years. Window graphics have an application life of one year. Gruv 7 is recommended to be paired with Mactac Rayzor® cast overlaminates for added protection and longevity.
