Ronni Faust Joins Magazine Publishers of America as VP

(New York, N.Y. June 4, 2001) - Ronni M. Faust has joined Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) as vice president, communications, it was announced today by Nina Link, president and CEO, MPA. She comes to the MPA with extensive branding and trade organization experience in the media industry. Based in New York, she reports to Ms. Link. Ms. Faust's most recent position was vice president, communications for BBC Worldwide Americas from 1998. From 1995 to 1998, she was director of corporate communications for ESPN, Inc., where she was instrumental in the launch announcement for ESPN The Magazine, as well as all other product extensions for the major sports brand. From 1990 to 1995, she was vice president, communications for the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB) where she was a member of the team that revitalized the trade association representing local television stations to the advertising community. "Ronni's strong trade association experience, coupled with her brand experience for both ESPN and BBC makes her a welcome addition to the MPA team," said Ms. Link. "We look forward to her contributions on behalf of our members." Prior to her position with TVB, Ms. Faust had her own marketing and public relations agency where she had a broad range of clients, including NFL Films, Armstrong International, SBK Pictures, Medstar Communications and NBC-funded Interfaith Broadcasting Commission. She also served as director of advertising, promotion and public relations for Orbis Communications; sales promotion manager for ESPN; writer/producer of sales promotion and press representative for the ABC Television Network; and research manager for CBS-owned WCAU-TV. Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) is the industry association for the consumer magazine business. Established in 1919, the MPA represents more than 240 domestic publishing companies with approximately 1,400 titles, more than 80 international companies and more than 100 associate service providers.
