Keynotes Provide Meaningful Takeaways
The conference also featured two dynamic keynotes from gathering expert Priya Parker and a sit-down conversation with sports, media and business legend Alex Rodriguez.

Priya Parker, an international leader in helping create effective and meaningful meetings and gatherings, lamented at the current state of how groups and companies are meeting. She recounted how experts in their fields have successfully created transformative experiences in their interactions and meetings with others. "They started every single time with purpose," she said, "asking questions like, 'What is the need here?' and 'Why are we doing this?'" Parker led the audience through interactive exercises to help them understand how to refine how they conduct meetings to make them more effective and engaging.

Alex Rodriguez, “A-Rod,” the 14-time MLB All-Star, has continually challenged himself to become more than just a great athlete. He’s now chairman and CEO of a world-class investment firm that empowers startups, an Emmy-winning TV analyst, a podcast host and a philanthropist. Rodriguez recounted highlights from his storied major league baseball career, sharing his favorite pitcher he faced when he was in a slump, and his least favorite opponent to bat against, Pedro Martinez. He also shared his approach to building his post-baseball business empire, including real estate and various company holdings. A-Rod commented on building his $5 billion dollar real-estate portfolio beginning 20 years ago with a humble duplex apartment. "We started started really really small with a big vision and a big dream. And we started one step at a time," he said.
