Improved productivity for direct printing onto cylindrical objects including tapered products

Suwanee, GA – Mimaki USA, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, today announced the Kebab HS option for Mimaki UJF Series UV-LED flatbed printers. The Kebab HS option is up to three times faster than previous models and can print directly onto cylindrical and tapered objects. The Kebab HS option will make its North American debut in the Mimaki USA booth 1435 at the ISA International Sign Expo, April 10-12, in Orlando.

Key features

Improved productivity. The new high-speed Kebab HS option can achieve up to three times the productivity of current models. With the current Kebab MkII model, printing cylindrical objects takes about 30 minutes; with the Kebab HS model, printing is completed in about 10 minutes, making it possible to handle medium-lot orders with a single printer.

Print directly to tapered objects. A new feature of the Kebab HS option is the ability to print directly onto tapered objects such as glassware and tumblers, expanding the range of custom goods that can be directly printed on an existing UJF printer and eliminating the need for a dedicated rotary UV machine. It can be used to print directly to objects with a maximum 7.5-degree slope angle, which is measured from one end of the object to the other along its length.

The Kebab HS option supports cylindrical or tapered objects from 30 mm to 280 mm (1.18” – 11”) long, and 50 mm to 100 mm (1.9” – 3.93”) in diameter. Printing to cylindrical objects more than 280 mm long or less than 50 mm in diameter can still be achieved on the Kebab MkII or Kebab MkII L models.

This 16” x 24” x 6” flatbed printer can customize up to 468 objects per hour and integrates automatic maintenance features for improved workflow.

The Mimaki UJF-7151 Plus II UV-LED medium-format flatbed printer is the next-generation model in the world’s best-selling UJF Series line. With print speeds up to 190% faster than the previous model and an increased load capacity of up to 66 lbs., the UJF-7151 Plus II printer can accommodate heavy metal jigs for production printing of customized objects. This 28” x 20” x 6” medium-format flatbed printer integrates automatic maintenance features for improved workflow.

Availability
The Kebab HS option for the UJF-3042 MkII e, UJF-6052 MkII e, and UJF-7151 Plus II is expected to be available for order from Mimaki USA authorized representatives in the spring of 2024.
