NAPL Selected for Xerox Premier Partner Program

Press release from the issuing company

PARAMUS, NJ, May 31, 2001 — Xerox Corporation has selected NAPL as a key content provider for its Xerox Premier Partners Program. Graphic arts firms that enroll in the program will receive an NAPL Professional Career Track Membership in the area of their choice. NAPL offers Professional Memberships in Leadership, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations and Technology. The Xerox Premier Partners Program is an e-community of industry professionals sharing knowledge, technology, and business. The new initiative represents a significant change in Xerox’s strategy. In September 2000, the company announced that it would no longer compete with quick and commercial printers for print production work through its company-run Document Technology Centers (DTCs). Xerox has closed many of its DTCs; remaining Centers now direct new manufacturing work to Premier Partners and fulfill the terms of previously existing contracts. The knowledge-sharing portion of the network, in which NAPL will participate, is a key component of the Premier Partners Program. Graphic arts companies planning a transition to digital and e-based printing face a multitude of complex decisions. They need resources for understanding such issues as entering the arena, developing good business models, and managing the process. Within the Premier Partners Program, NAPL will meet these needs by providing business management information. NAPL is a respected leader in supplying information that helps printing companies become more profitable. As Professional Career Track Members of NAPL, Xerox Premier Partners will receive regular NAPL periodicals, information, and access to NAPL’s real-time, online forums. They will also receive member pricing on all of the Association’s products and services. NAPL periodicals contained in the program include (depending on the Professional Career Track Membership option selected): • Printing Manager magazine • Executive Insights • Management Institute Review • Sales Focus • Print Profit • On the Job • Sheetfed Operations Quarterly • Digital PrePress • Tech Trends • Special Reports "Xerox is leading the way in helping print providers develop their businesses by delivering end-to-end solutions," commented Elaine Wilde, senior vice president and general manager, Xerox Worldwide Graphic Arts Business. "The launch of the Xerox Premier Partners Program gives our partners a full spectrum of solutions to meet today’s demanding marketplace – and there is no more qualified expert in those solutions than NAPL. We are pleased to be able to offer their insights and information to our clients." NAPL President Gregg Van Wert commented that "NAPL is both proud and pleased to be able to extend our knowledge and content to the forward-thinking companies that are Xerox Premier Partners. We look forward to helping these companies succeed in the new, digital- and e-based business environment." For more information about the Xerox Premier Partners Program, contact Gregory S.
