ZRP and Landa Teams in front of New Landa S10 at the Chinese packaging giant
Additional Landa S10 reduces time to market for customer jobs while increasing business growth
Rehovot, Israel and Guangdong, China – Landa Digital Printing and Guangdong-based Chinese packaging giant, Zhongrong Printing Group Co., Ltd. (ZRP), today announced the installation of a second Landa S10 Nanographic Printing® Press. Designed to meet increased demand for short to medium-run digital packaging, the new Landa press is supporting the transition of more offset jobs to digital. Ideal for FMCG customers looking for a just-in-time service offering.
In December 2019, ZRP installed the first Landa S10 Nanographic Printing® Press in Asia. Today, the solution is used to lead China’s first B1 format digital packaging service. Unlike offset, the Landa press enables ZRP to provide short to medium digital print runs, utilizing superior capabilities to print tens of thousands of sheets per day for various applications and run lengths. The new Landa S10 installed in H2 2023, is further supporting this fast-growing digital capability, enabling ZRP to provide quicker response times for the production of multiple SKUs (Stock Keeping Units), while also aiding overall business growth.
Mr Lin, VP of Supply Chain, ZRP comments: “The future of printing is digital, and Landa technology is at the heart of it. The Landa presses provide us with the same look and feel of offset, but with an increased color gamut to match virtually any special color – key for brands in China. The additional Landa press – a seven-color model with inline coater – is enabling us to deliver larger volumes of work, much faster.
“With the Landa S10, we can remove make readies and utilise a more streamlined workflow. The additional capacity delivered by the second press is enabling us to meet increased demand, so it was an essential next step for the business.”
According to ZRP, key to the Landa purchase was also the ability to explore new application opportunities for further business diversification, revenue generation and to sharpen its competitive edge. In addition, it said that having the additional capacity to provide actual printed sheets from the press as test proofs, has increased customer confidence, enabling it to win further work.
Sharon Cohen, Chief Business Officer, Landa Digital Printing concludes: “We are thrilled to witness ZRP’s journey and to see the impact of the Landa technology on their current business and future vision. This collaboration exemplifies our shared commitment to driving transformative change in the printing industry. As ZRP expands its footprint, the Landa S10 will play a pivotal role in supporting their growth and contributing to the acceleration of the short to medium-run digital print trend in China.”
