John Slaney Named Chief Technology Officer for Cathedral

Rome, NY – Marianne W. Gaige, Cathedral Corporation’s chairman and CEO, has announced that John Slaney, formerly chief technology officer of Content Critical Solutions, has been named chief technology officer (CTO) of Cathedral Corporation.

Innovative and goal-driven, Slaney has developed a track record of success in leading technology systems and content management solution organizations, with success in delivering product development and systems integration solutions across multiple business sectors. He serves as a partner to improve business processes, expand market capabilities and drive revenue growth across organizations.

“John has the knowledge and experience to oversee technology innovation and development across the range of industries in which Cathedral competes and among all five operating locations,” Gaige said. “We look forward to his leadership contributions as Cathedral continues to invest in the rapidly changing world of document management and outsourced print and electronic communications.”

At Content Critical, Slaney held responsibility for all aspects of technology infrastructure and programming development. Focused on developing and implementing automated platforms, he provided clients access to user-friendly production controls and custom reporting. His experience will guide the process as Cathedral implements a new corporate-wide enterprise system.

“I look forward to working with the technology teams at Cathedral as we continue to build our product and messaging solutions for the ever-changing needs of markets we serve,” said Slaney, who is based at the Holbrook, New York, facility.

Prior to joining Content Critical, Slaney held a range of roles at Global Document Solutions, where he led the development of innovative document imaging and distribution workflows for major customers, with a focus on leveraging technology and automation to drive efficiency and platform growth.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and computer science from SUNY Maritime College. He is the proud father of two daughters and enjoys golf and fly fishing with his wife.
