DIA Meeting to Explore Artificial Intelligence and How It’s Poised to Change the Worldwide Printing Industry

Press release from the issuing company

The Digital imaging Association’s (DIA’s) Annual Owners Christmas Luncheon & General Meeting, to be held Wednesday, December 6, 2023, in Toronto, will examine the Artificial Intelligence revolution, how it’s changing the print industry, and how it’s destined to make a huge impact in the future of Print. Keynote speaker David Rosendahl, President & Co-Founder of MindFire, will discuss how AI and printers can work together for future success.

We are living through a moment as pivotal to technological advancement as the inventions of the personal computer and the Internet, according to Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates. AI has the potential to stretch the limits of what’s possible in unprecedented new ways. AI is already transforming many key industries – and printing is no exception. In fact, the influence of AI on the print sector has been profound, revolutionizing traditional practices and introducing new, more efficient solutions. Artificial Intelligence offers huge opportunities to optimize production processes, personalize customer experiences, and boost competitiveness, to name just a few.

For the printer, AI can:
• Streamline print processes, reducing the need for manual labour and human touchpoints.
• Automate prepress bottlenecks such as file analysis, colour correction, image enhancement, etc.
• Integrate with workflow software to automate estimating, job tracking, press scheduling, etc.
• Provide customers with personalized and customized print products using client analytics.
• Analyze data and identify patterns to help shop owners make more informed decisions regarding equipment purchases, material utilization, resource allocation, and so on.

As AI continues to evolve, it promises a future of greater efficiency, easier customization, and more competitiveness for commercial printers of all types.
