Fisher Textiles Wins Three PRINTING United Alliance 2023 Pinnacle Product Awards

Press release from the issuing company

GF8819 DS Nirvana

Matthews, NC - Fisher Textiles is proud to announce that three of its fabrics received a coveted PRINTING United Alliance 2023 Pinnacle Product Award in the Media—Textile—Banner, Canvas and Tablecloths & Linens categories. The winning entries can be found online at the Pinnacle Product Awards Gallery.

GF8819 DS Nirvana, winner of Media—Textile—Banner, has a unique construction with two layers of GF4019 Nirvana black-back laminated together for extreme opacity, and allowing double-sided print. Compatible with dye sub transfer and UV-curable printing, applications include double-sided banners, exhibit graphics and retail displays. Stocked 122-inches wide, it weighs 13.2 osy and is flame retardant (NFPA 701, Cal Title 19).

GF5600 Raw Canvas, winner of Media—Textile—Canvas, is one of the industry’s only dye sub printable canvases. Made in the USA, it is 100% cotton and treated with a dye sub receptive coating that enables paper transfer printing and provides a wide color gamut and consistent photo quality imaging. It has a natural beige finish and is ideal for banners, retail displays, canvas wraps, throw pillows and tote bags that require a natural look and feel. Stocked 125-inches wide, it weighs 6.8 osy and is 17 mil. The banner pictured was printed with a Mutoh XpertJet 1642WR Pro.

ET9708 Heavy Knit, winner of Media—Textile—Tablecloths & Linens is a dye sub printable fabric for table throws and linens made with 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. It has great definition, presents a very high-quality print and has a better white point than traditional textiles made from post-consumer waste. It contains 40.1 recycled PET bottles (500ml) per linear yard, weighs 6.7 osy, is stocked 126-inches wide and is flame retardant (NFPA 701, Cal Title 19). Using recycled polyester not only keeps PET bottles out of landfills, it also reduces energy consumption and conserves petroleum resources used to produce virgin polyester.

Open to all PRINTING United Alliance supplier members, the Pinnacle Product Award competition evaluates products that will be available for sale in 2023. A highly qualified panel of judges across the printing industry evaluated the annual contest’s 160+ entries in more than 58 categories spanning analog, digital, output, and non-output technologies.

The team at Fisher Textiles listens to feedback from our customers and develops products based on the solutions they need. Our winning entries are direct results of customer requests, so we thank them for trusting us to produce these innovative products,” said Scott Fisher, President and CEO, Fisher Textiles.
