High-Speed Rotary Hot Stamping and Embossing by Steuer a Big Hit at FSEA Embellishment Conference

Press release from the issuing company

Mobile, Alabama; and Stuttgart, Germany. SPM Steuer, the worldwide leading supplier of high-speed, high-quality rotary hot stamping/embossing equipment to the Printing Industry; today announced a successful sponsorship of the Foil and Special Effects Association’s Print Embellishment Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Brian Tunink, Distributor for Steuer in the USA said: “We came to Indianapolis with high expectations of meeting top decision makers in the print, packaging and specialty/collectable arenas of print, and we were not disappointed. In fact, we were blown away by the interest companies have in looking for more cost effective and labor effective means to embellish printed sheets. Of top interest from most attendees were the top speeds and short makereadies Steuer offers vs. their legacy equipment. Several companies told us that the higher throughput of Steuer might just solve their thorniest of problems, recruiting and training new crews for several older units that can be replaced with the addition of one Steuer.”

Marc Steuer, President of SPM Steuer of Stuttgart Germany, added: “We are pleased with the results at FSEA Embellishment. The number of great conversations we had with top companies confirms that the timing is right for reintroduction of our products to the American market, where we already have several top companies running our equipment two or three shifts a day. We are also proud of the dozens of top print, packaging and security print companies around the world, which use Steuer and feel the number of American installations will soon catch up to that through this reintroduction. Any print or packaging house that is looking for new foiling or embossing capabilities, or looking to increase throughput per hour and per crew should be looking at rotary and Steuer.”

Tunink further said: “The ability to stamp large solid areas in the highest quality opens up completely new possibilities: For example, products that were previously produced on metallized or laminated board and were therefore not recyclable can be replaced with large-area stamped designs, while retaining full recyclability. Furthermore, with rotary hot stamping, texts etc. can be replaced by negative type, which saves costly and time-consuming overprinting with opaque white.”
