WORKFLOW MANAGEMENT, INC. REPORTS ITS SECOND QUARTER, FISCAL 2001 EARNINGS RESULTS

Press release from the issuing company

PALM BEACH, Fla., December 12, 2000 - Workflow Management, Inc. (Nasdaq:WORK), a leading outsourcer of print and office products and supply chain management services, today announced financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2001. Total revenues for the second quarter ended October 31, 2000 increased 5.2% over the first quarter of fiscal 2001 to $149.2 million. Before e-commerce investments, operating income and net income for the quarter were $9.5 million and $3.6 million, respectively, compared to $7.5 million and $2.4 million in the first quarter of this year. This translates, on a per share basis, to earnings of $0.28 per diluted share for the second quarter, compared to $0.18 per diluted share in the first quarter. Tom D’Agostino, Sr., Workflow Management's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "I’m pleased to report that the areas of weakness that we experienced in the first quarter, principally in our direct mail and envelope product lines, strengthened in the second quarter and met our revised forecasts. In fact, our direct mail manufacturing group exceeded our expectations. While the state of the economy as a whole causes me to be cautiously optimistic, I believe that the momentum for our products and e-commerce solution will continue to grow according to plan in the third and fourth quarters.” Mike Schmickle, Workflow Management's Chief Financial Officer, stated, “While our financial performance has regained a significant level of momentum, the Workflow team remains intensely dedicated to execute on our strategies to maximize earnings. An overall reduction of S, G and A expense, completion of the OEI integration and improving the operating income from an under-performing unit should all positively contribute to an improvement in Workflow’s bottom line going forward.” Tom D’Agostino, Sr., further commented “The brightest spot of our second quarter performance continues to be iGetSmart.com. Not only has the revenue been tracking in line with our previously stated goals, it has also continued to be a growth driver for the other Workflow companies. The entire Workflow sales force continues to leverage existing relationships and connect our client base with the cost-cutting and control benefits of the iGetSmartTM system.” The Company further indicated it will conduct a management conference call today, December 12, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. The dial-in number for the conference call is (800) 811-7286, access code #464847. The call will also be available on the Company web site at www.workflowmanagement.com.
