New Edition of Heidelberg DI Magazine - Quality Shows!

Press release from the issuing company

4/18/01- Quality shows - and this is the motto of the latest edition of the DI Magazine 1/2001. The term "quality" has been closely associated with Heidelberg for as far back as anyone can remember. The magazine illustrates the various aspects of "quality" in Direct Imaging. This of course involves constructing reliable machines, but also the fusion of expertise, innovation and service combined with the provision of integrated solutions. It is with this in mind that the lead story takes readers on a tour of the Quickmas-ter DI 46-4 and Speedmaster 74 DI production halls, where Heidelberg's legen-dary "passion for detail" is the order of the day. But our customers too have been given the opportunity to express their views. Alongside flexibility and speed, print quality is crucial. This is as true for our customers as it is for their customers, regardless of whether they are in Mexico, Australia, the USA or France. "The demands from the short-run color market are rising constantly, and our customers are appreciating familiar offset quality more than ever before, even for small job runs", confirms Dominique Lardaux of Oxo Numerique (F). "Every day, we show our customers that we can harness Direct Imaging to offer speed and excellent quality. DI is the secret of our success", adds Josh Murray from Inkredible (USA). Both Ms. Lardaux and Mr. Murray are agreed about the quality of the print results with DI, and readers of the magazine will be able to see for themselves just how good that quality is. The DI Magazine was printed on a Speedmaster 74 DI, as was the enclosed A2 color poster. The poster radiates brilliant color - it was created using the new Hexachrome process. Issues relating to Direct Imaging and the "tips and tricks" section round off this bumper edition. DI Magazine is published by the Direct Imaging Business Unit of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and appears three times a year in German, English, French and Spanish. Copies can be ordered free of charge from fax number +49-6221 92 1209 or via the Internet at www.direct-imaging-center.com.
