Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y., April 18, 2001-- Xerox Corporation, Imation Corporation, local Printing Industry Association affiliates and other partners are sponsoring an 11-city forum demonstrating the latest technologies for controlling color in professional graphic arts printing environments. The tour begins today in Atlanta and concludes in Philadelphia on June 12. The Color Confidence Forum is a free conference for graphic designers, creative production executives, pre-press professionals and commercial, quick and corporate printers. The program features keynotes by nationally known experts Roy Zucca, leader of several color standards boards and chief executive officer of ConsultRoy.com, and Linda Manes Goodwin, executive director, Manes Goodwin Associates. Other industry luminaries will join them to present on topics related to today's workflow challenges and breakthroughs, from creation through production. "Everyone in the graphic arts industry faces the challenge of achieving accurate, reliable color from initial design approval to the final printed piece-and through the many steps in between," said Manes Goodwin. "This seminar presents an opportunity to discuss and hear about the choices that digital technologies are introducing to the process of managing consistent, reliable color expectations throughout the workflow." "To be competitive in the current economic environment, graphic arts professionals need to leverage today's digital technologies wherever possible to squeeze as much efficiency and cost savings as they can from their workflow," Zucca said. "New technologies are making a lot of things possible, and seminars like this one are important for helping to make print buyers and providers smarter and more aware of their options." In addition to Zucca's and Manes Goodwin's keynotes, presentations will include keynotes by the publisher and editors of PrintMedia magazine, a co-sponsor of the forum. Other talks will focus on opportunities for profit and growth in digital color applications based on proofing, direct color printing and direct image printing. The forum also will include solution demonstrations, such as the Imation MatchPrint Professional Server for the Xerox DocuColor 12 copier/printer, and an applications gallery. In addition to Atlanta and Philadelphia, half-day seminars will be held in New York, April 24 and 25; Washington, D.C./Tysons Corner, Va., May 2; San Francisco, May 8; Dallas, May 10; Boston, May 15; Toronto, May 17; Minneapolis, May 22; Chicago, May 24; and Los Angeles, June 6.
