Since the demise of the former PRINT show, there has been no large-scale event to bring all of the mailing community together to see a wide array of the latest technologies running. W+D is looking forward to showing four new technologies for the envelope and mailing market making this event the most significant rollout of new technologies at one show. These new products are:

New W+D BB1000 all-in-one converter/inserter – This revolutionary all-in-one envelope converting and inserting system provides the new ease-of-use envelope converting technology of W+D to create engaging, haptic, windowed, foiled envelopes from your existing digital press that is completely ready for USPS intake. The significance of the BB1000 is that it is the first easy-to-use solution for commercial mailers to produce a real envelope letter mail package that offers marketers the fastest time-to-mailbox with all the proven effectiveness of an envelope package, but now with a high-quality, front, back, full-bleed, personalized digital print envelope for added engagement and a one of a kind "mail moment" for the recipient. The power of a personalized envelope mail piece has now been even further enhanced by the BB1000. The W+D BB1000 will be premiering at Print United and be running daily. The BB1000 is also the winner of a 2022 Pinnacle InterTech technology award as well as the 2022 Inkjet Summit best technology case study analysis award.

New W+D 410 KC Easy enveloper combi blank/web converter - This new model of the successful 410 Easy Enveloper series now enables both blank and web envelope and self-mailer converting using this new easy-to-use platform. This allows preprint digital or offset to be converted from blank or web format into a finished envelope or self mailer. The system also allows for high quality 2/1 flexo, embossing and foiling for production of popular direct mail envelope formats. The first W+D 410KC machines started shipping to North America in September 2022.

New W+D 449 E-Commerce mailer bag converter - We took our extensive knowledge of high-speed inline envelope converting technology and applied this to making the W+D 449 one of the most efficient and productive e-commerce paper mailer bag machines in the market. The W+D 449 is a large-format pocket envelope machine for the size range 12 in. x 8.8 in. up to 18.7 in. x 14.7 inch. It is specially designed for processing a variety of heavier types of papers. The future of converting is about doing more with fewer production touches and fewer personnel operating technology that requires less skills.

PCMC Meridian laser anilox cleaner-PCMC’s Meridian laser anilox cleaner is known for providing the fastest anilox cleaning cycles in the industry for flexo label and packaging printers. Envelope converters are now seeing the demand for more and better color print and coating quality and the need for an easier, more eco-friendly approach to traditional anilox cleaning.. The first Meridian laser has gone into operation in early 2022 in the envelope market. The Meridian anilox laser will be running live demonstrations cleaning aniloxes at Print United in the W+D booth.

W+D will also unveil its new alignment and branding into the BW Converting Solutions platform. This new corporate structure consists of W+D, Paper Converting Machinery Company (PCMC), Hudson-Sharp, Northern Engraving and STAX Technologies.
