New Vision Packaging, a leading provider of retail packaging solutions, has been recognised for its commitment to the highest environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards with a Bronze Sustainability Rating from EcoVadis.
The world's largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, France-based EcoVadis has provided ratings on more than 90,000 companies since it was established in 2007. During the assessment process, EcoVardis consider four key themes, including carbon emissions, human rights and labour practices, ethical business conduct, and approach to sustainable procurement.
New Vision Packaging, which will also contest two significant awards at next month's UK Packaging Awards, including Entrepreneurial Business of the Year, can now count itself among the top 50% of companies surveyed.
"The environment and sustainability continue to play an integral role for New Vision Packaging. We have made a conscious effort to incorporate environmental, social, and governance best practices into the fabric of our organisation," said Stephen Shortland, Managing Director at New Vision Packaging. "Our commitment to sustainability is not only demonstrated through our products but also modelled in our day-to-day operations and processes.
"To be recognised by the world's most trusted evaluator of sustainable business is testament to our continued efforts and is another example of our small team consistently punching above its weight in several areas."
EcoVadis medallions are one of the most competitive sustainability awards, comprising 21 corporate social responsibility criteria and taking months to complete. Medals are awarded to just a small percentage of businesses across 200 industries and 160 countries.
