New CreoScitex Synapse Utilizes Enfocus PitStop Technology

April 10, 2001 BOSTON (Seybold) Enfocus Software today announced that its PitStop PDF technology for interactive editing and automated correction of PDF documents has been incorporated into the new SynapseTM solution from CreoScitex, a division of Creo Products Inc. (NASDAQ: CREO; TSE: CRE). Unveiled here at Seybold Seminars Boston 2001 (April 10-12), Synapse is a new application that links the creative and production processes by enabling one-button creation of trustworthy PDF files within the creative desktop environment. Synapse supports the PDF workflow by providing content creators with the tools to easily create PDF files that match the exact specifications of their print vendor. Synapse includes the PitStop Library preflight functionality from award-winning Enfocus technology. CreoScitex says that by using PitStop for Synapse‚s preflighting capability, they can guarantee the integrity of the PDF file for output. Additionally, the Synapse Pro Suite offers a comprehensive package of nine PDF productivity tools for prepress professionals, providing comprehensive abilities to create, verify, composite and output high quality documents and printed material. This enhanced version utilizes Enfocus PitStop Professional, which "unlocks" a PDF document for editing at any stage of the workflow, and provides easy-to-use tools for revising or correcting documents globally.
