Toronto, Ontario & Bannockburn, Illinois (April 12, 2001) - At the annual and special meeting of shareholders of Moore Corporation Limited (TSE, NYSE: MCL), held in Toronto today the following directors were elected: Theodore Ammon, Chairman, Chancery Lane Capital LLC, Robert Burton, President and Chief Executive Officer of Moore, Shirley Dawe, President, Shirley Dawe Associates Inc., Alfred Eckert III, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GSC Partners, David McCamus, Corporate Director, Newton Minow, Counsel, Sidley & Austin, Robert Prichard, Professor of Law and President Emeritus, University of Toronto, Lionel Schipper, President, Schipper Enterprises Inc., John Stevens, Executive Vice President, Arva Limited. Shareholders also approved the other business at the meeting; the appointment of auditors, an amendment to the Corporation's Articles of Amalgamation and adoption of the 2001 Long Term Incentive Plan. At a board of directors meeting following the shareholders meeting, Robert Prichard was elected non-executive Chairman of the Board. Mr. Burton stated: "I am confident that with this slate of directors, the shareholders have a board that has their best interests foremost in their minds.
