CreoScitex Synapse Connects Designers and Print Vendors
Press release from the issuing company
SEYBOLD Boston 2001 (April 10, 2001) - CreoScitex, a division of Creo Products Inc. (NASDAQ: CREO; TSE: CRE), introduces Synapse, a new application that links the creative and production processes by enabling a one-button creation of trustworthy PDF files within the creative desktop environment.
Synapse supports the PDF workflow by providing content creators with the tools to easily create PDF files that match the exact specifications of their print vendor.
Through multiple creation options, users have the option of printing directly from QuarkXPress with the Synapse XT, printing to the Synapse desktop printer from any Macintosh application or simply dragging and dropping Adobe PostScript or PDF files onto a hot folder or Synapse applet.
Synapse provides the ability to create and distribute Directives, a set of instructions from the print vendor that eliminate the frustrating and time-consuming process of selecting dozens of application settings. In addition to these pre-defined printing parameters, Synapse includes the file verification actions from Enfocus PitStop. This preflighting capability guarantees the integrity of the PDF file for output.
Synapse Pro Suite offers a comprehensive package of PDF productivity tools for prepress professionals, including an enhanced version of Synapse, Seps2Comp, Pagelet and Enfocus PitStop Professional. This collection of nine workflow utilities provides the ability to create, verify, composite and output high quality documents and printed material.
Synapse is being demonstrated at Seybold Boston from April 10-12 at the CreoScitex Booth #2605.
