BOSTON, MA, April 10, 2001 – It was jointly announced today at Seybold that Printable and Collabria, Inc., have agreed to share certain technologies. In addition, it was announced that Printable will adopt Collabria PrintCommerce as its underlying platform for delivering print e-business solutions for printers. The two companies will work together in the marketplace to keep their solutions compatible in order to facilitate the interactivity of Collabria’s corporate clients and their suppliers and Printable’s printer clients.
Jim Sullivan, Chairman and CEO of Printable, commented: "This is a true win-win arrangement. Printable has developed printer-focused solutions that add significant value to Collabria PrintCommerce printers. Leveraging Collabria’s print e-business platform enables Printable to rapidly deploy new value-added solutions. This move makes both companies stronger and allows us to better address the requirements of print buyers and printers."
Donald Armagnac, President and CEO of Collabria, stated: "No single vendor can build all the solutions required by customers and printers. We are pleased to cooperate with Printable in supporting and meeting the needs of the printer community. Printable customers will benefit from having access to Collabria technology, and we look forward to offering our corporate customers a supply chain solution that includes Printable technology such as their newly announced PrintFlightSM suite of preflighting tools."
