Aether Systems Selects Versient To Implement Online Ordering

Press release from the issuing company

Hunt Valley, MD (March 13, 2001) - Versient, Inc., a business solutions provider, is pleased to announce an agreement with Aether Systems, Inc., the leader in developing and implementing wireless solutions, to provide an online application for Aether's printing, inventory and ordering process. Aether will begin using Versient.Order (V.Order) to produce and distribute marketing collateral, business cards, product samples, direct mail campaigns and stationery. Aether Systems will employ the V.Order solution to allow Aether employees to efficiently order business materials on-demand. V.Order enables users to modify, proof, order and manage printed business materials by empowering end-users to initiate the procurement process. Aether employees can order product samples, premiums and marketing campaign materials at the click of a mouse. In addition, designated corporate administrators will be able to review real-time inventory, determine usage patterns and control spending. More than 400 Aether employees will use V.Order to procure their business materials. "Aether chose Versient to take advantage of the added efficiency and convenience of the V.Order solution," said Mitch Selbiger, Senior Vice President of Marketing. "We look forward to a successful relationship." "We are pleased to have been selected by Aether to implement our solution," commented Versient President and CEO Steve Morris. "The online ordering capability and inventory control features of V.Order will enable Aether to reduce their costs and deliver materials to their employees more efficiently."
