Press release from the issuing company

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — In two short weeks, folding carton industry executives from across the United States and Canada will come together to learn, network, and grow at the Paperboard Packaging Council’s (PPC) 2022 Spring Outlook and Strategies Conference in Denver.

Taking place at the Hilton Denver City Center on March 9-11, the three-day event will feature renowned speakers, Q&A panels and networking, and an award ceremony honoring the winners of the 2022 Paperboard Packaging Alliance Student Design Challenge.

“We’ve gathered together an A-list agenda to help our executives elevate their retention strategies in this new workplace era and plan for the future so they can prosper amidst cyclical turns in the economy and markets,” said Ben Markens, PPC president. “In addition to informative sessions and networking, we will celebrate student designers from all over the country with during a very special awards ceremony.”

Attendees will hear several informative speakers throughout the event. According to one keynote speaker, David Avrin, CSP, president of The Customer Experience Advantage, overall buying patterns have shifted dramatically in recent years. Today, those who win business can deliver faster and are easier to work with than their competitors. In a revealing, thought-provoking, and entertaining presentation, the customer experience expert will shine a light on this profound shift in customer expectations while showcasing everyone’s role in eliminating friction during the buying process, responding to prospects, and creating customer experiences worth sharing.

PPC will also welcome to its stage for the first time David B. Sewell, CEO of WestRock. Sewell, who took reins of the company in March 2021, will share observations from the past year, reflections on leadership, and the areas he’s accelerating as he leads WestRock into its next era.

Additionally, leading economist Alan Beaulieu, a longstanding PPC meeting staple, will return to update attendees on the latest economic indicators and how they will affect the paperboard packaging market.

Rounding out the rest of the event will be a member spotlight on Warneke Paper Box Co., committee meetings, and sessions for two communities of interest, the Women’s Leadership Council and New Generation Leaders.

“We look forward to welcoming our members to the beautiful and diverse city of Denver where they’ll network with our executive ranks and gather new ideas to strengthen and grow their businesses,” said Markens. “Members will be sure to gain valuable insight into the latest converting solutions, gather advice from our expert speakers, and enjoy the opportunity to network and grow with a welcoming community of industry peers.”
