Proforma Donates to Threads of Hope Mission Trip in Uganda

Press release from the issuing company

The Project Provides Ugandan Women with the Tools to End the Cycle of Generational Poverty

TAMPA, Fla. – Proforma, the $500 million technology and business success leader, donates to a mission trip to Africa led by Threads of Hope, a nonprofit dedicated to ending the cycle of poverty in developing countries.

Threads of Hope is an 18-month program that provides women across the country with sewing machines and the education to open their own businesses.

“Here at Proforma, we continually strive to create new opportunities for women,” said Proforma CEO Vera Muzzillo. “We recognize the unique strengths and challenges that women around the world face, and it is our mission to support meaningful programs like Threads of Hope.”

Many Ugandan women don’t have access to valuable educational opportunities and face long-term difficulties providing for themselves. This training sets the foundation for the women to generate sustainable income for generations to come.

“Vera’s passion for helping others thrive is inspiring,” stated Proforma CMO Billie Jo Mathusek. “As a woman, I am proud to be a member of the Proforma family.”
Graduates leave with a strong sense of accomplishment and go on to open successful small businesses in their communities.
