Contex Updates Firmware for Select Large Format Scanners

Press release from the issuing company

Chantilly, VA — Contex, the world leader in large format scanning, today announces a firmware update to the IQ FLEX large format flatbed scanner and the SD One MF large format scanner. The firmware update allows users to customize the menu items in the control panel to make their scanning workflow more efficient. Users can modify the panel to give easy access to frequently used functions and remove rarely used menu items.

“The advancement of our Contex scanners is attributable in large part to customer feedback. The firmware update is as a result of a customer request, and we are happy to make it available to our scanning community,” comments Dan Bennett, Director of Group Service Operations, Contex.

Contex large format scanners are recognized by a wide range of industries for high performance and superb image quality. IQ FLEX customers, such as archivists, agencies, repro shops, artists, and those that work with textiles, furniture, and construction and in engineering, use the flatbed scanner to transform textiles, artwork, books, and fragile originals into digital content. The large format scanner can capture items up to A1/ D-size.

The SD One MF is an entry-level large format CIS scanner with a built-in controller for standalone scanning. The intuitive scanner lets users build personalized profiles, making it easy for staffers to work together. The SD One MF comes in 24-, 36-, and 44-inch widths and can be networked with most large-format printers.
